We are in the desert, where it is hot and dry. How hot? It's been in the high 90s and even in the 100s for at least 6 weeks (that's mid to high 30s for those who understand Celsius better, like me). Man it is so hot, and so dry, so here is Sarah after one of her nosebleeds.

And here she is all kitted out for riding her trike around the neighbourhood here in Sugarhouse, Salt Lake City. If I get it right I will upload some video clips of Sarah riding her trike.

Yes, that's right, we are no longer in Provo. In fact, we moved to our friends in Salt Lake City about 5 weeks ago. They have generously let us put our belongings in their garage, and put us in the basement, making room for us, and taking good care of us. We will miss them dearly when we are far away in Madison, Wisconsin and don't know a soul. We leave in about 4 weeks.

It has been interesting to live here. It is a good area, with a lot to do nearby. A few parks and playgrounds for the kids. The playgrounds here in America are Great! Sarah loves them. There are lots of ducks to feed. There is a fun zoo nearby, some trails for Ryan to bike, when he has the time and is not ill. We have met many friendly people. They have a lovely little library nearby in a quaint old building. Sarah has been reading for their summer reading program and getting prizes (she calls them surprises), little treats or toys. Salt Lake and Provo are very different. It is a good preparation for Madison, which will be nothing like Provo, I would imagine.

I guess this is a time for saying goodbyes and getting ready for changes and new adventures. We have made some good friends here, and it will be hard to leave them. Hooray for email, blogs, skype, facebook and telephones! There will be things we will miss, but it will be good to move forward. And hopefully experience some more good things in a totally different State in America. There are interesting people wherever you go.

Ryan is commuting to BYU 4 days a week, and is looking forward to being done with his Masters I believe. He is pretty busy. And Sarah and I get to do the household stuff, and play with new friends, and walk to the park (but only if it's early, otherwise it's too hot out, thank goodness for air conditioning). I enjoy talking to our friends and having adults around and not just a 3 year old to talk to.

Life is good today.
