This is the train we went on. Isn't it cute? With wheels to go on the streets...

We spent a morning at Heritage Park. It's where the 'This Is The Place' monument is, and they have a whole little pioneer village. Sarah thoroughly enjoyed the pony ride and then was a whiney girl, til we got her some fries. Please note the tomato sauce all over her face in the pic with Ryan.

We went to the school and saw how they taught kids way back when. We went to the furniture store where they made beds and chairs etc. We saw how they made rugs from old clothes and bedlinen. the barber was closed the day we went. the back was open. I just missed the lady with her hat store. It was a pretty fun morning. The wagon ride was fun too. And the train ride took us around the whole place. It was really hot though, and we pitied the volunteers and workers dressed in poineer clothing with long sleeves and pants.

Man has it been hot! It's started to cool down a little now, and we are in the 90s (32 to 34 Celsius).

Sarah was also a damper on our 4th of July fireworks experience. We went to Sugarhouse Park, where they had a pretty cool fireworks display. And waited there over an hour for it to get dark enough (which was only at 10pm), and as soon as the fireworks started, Sarah didn't like them because the bangs were just too loud for her. So after waiting around to see them, we just started walking home, and got to see what we could as we were walking away.
