Isn't it fun how the snowplough puts that snow right behind your car? And if you don't shovel it away before it freezes (that night, because it gets so cold) then you might just be stuck for a little while.
We discovered that nobody in our apartment really shovels the snow away, they all just wait for the snowploughs to come by. Which is only after it has stopped snowing. Which can sometimes be a long time.
The problem with our first snow, was that there was freezing rain right after, which turned all the snow to ice. So under all the snow you see there is a thick layer of ice. And now that we have had a lot more snow, man that ice is slippery!
We have been having temperatures of 0C during the day (feels like summer!) and that melts the snow, which drips off the roof, which makes puddles of water all over, which then freeze into icy patches overnight.
Winter is a whole different ballgame here.
